Hi, I’m Em, your Hawke’s Bay Pet Photographer and the heart behind Wildlight Pet Co!

I started Wildlight because I believe our pets are never just animals. They’re family, best friends, comfort on the hard days and pure joy on good days. For me personally, my pets are my babies (fur-babies!) and I love them with all my heart. I’m a fur-mum to a staffy/whippet cross dog Jess, and a white/tabby cat Molly.

I’ve been doing landscape, astro and nature photography since 2018 as a hobby, and have always loved capturing moments and creating memories with my camera, but never thought to do Pet Photography! So in March 2026, I created Wildlight Pet Co.

Wildlight feels like my souls true calling by combining my love for photography and my love of animals. It’s about capturing who your pet truly is. Their personality, their softness, their quiet moments, and the light they bring into your life.

I take a calm, patient approach to every session, letting pets be themselves so their true character can shine through. I’m a lover of quiet moments and honest connection.

My goal is simple: to create dreamy, meaningful, light-filled images of your pets that you’ll treasure forever.
